Johnny’s Fantasy Premier League Team – Gameweek 38

May 14, 2016 By Johnny Roseboom

It’s the last play week in the English Premier League and this also means I will be publishing my Fantasy Football team for a last time this season. Obviously there will be more to come when the new season starts, and hopefully during the European Championships which will be held in France this summer.

As usual I will take part in the Weekly Free Roll, offered to us by FantasyBet, with a total prize pool of £50.00.

The last round is all about European football and the teams involved are West Ham United, Manchester United and Manchester City. Leicester City are the new champions, Aston Villa, Norwich City and Newcastle United have been relegated so things at both top and bottom of the league are decided.

A few other teams also have something to play for. Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal still play to finish as the number 2 this season and I am curious how badly they want to win their last game. Southampton is only playing to finish as high as possible in the table, and every week they show how important this is for the team. So I expect them as well to give it all in their last home game of the season.

Keeper

My goal will be defended by the best keeper in the Premier League: David de Gea.

Defenders

The defense consists of 3 players, and all three have been household names during the season in any fantasy football team. Chris Smalling, Hector Bellerin and Virgil van Dijk are my picks for this week.

Midfielders

My midfield has 4 players this week. Men in form Dusan Tadić, Alexis Sánchez and Eden Hazard. My last choice is a budget pick: Alex Iwobi.

Attackers

Two of my three strikers have been in my line-up almost every week: Harry Kane and Sergio Agüero. My third pick is Shane Long.
